Established in January 2024, CCEF is a national NGO committed to practical, evidence-based and community-led solutions to climate and environmental challenges.
CCEF addresses climate change, environmental degradation, biodiversity loss and natural resource depletion through research, innovation, education, advocacy and community-based action. The Foundation collaborates with government institutions, development partners, academic organizations, civil society, the private sector and local communities.

What We Work On

Current community activities include climate change impact awareness, climate risk mapping, climate change adaptation and mitigation, salinity-tolerant agriculture, carbon emissions awareness, heat-wave mitigation planning, watershed management, inclusive cyclone shelters, ecosystem protection, climate-smart gardening, climate and weather data collection and dissemination, early warning systems, disaster preparedness and communication with communities and climate leaders, alongside hygiene promotion and menstruation hygiene management.

Accountable organizational structure
CCEF is governed through a General Body and an Executive Committee, with management led by the Executive Director.
General Body
15 Members
A 15-member General Body serves as the supreme authority for policy formulation and guidance.
Executive Committee
5 Members
A 5-member Executive Committee is elected for a five-year term and is responsible for policy and implementation oversight.
Management & Volunteers
The organization is supported by staff and 30 community volunteers for implementation and community engagement.
